A conference to inspire learners, teachers and school leaders for a nature-positive future.
Nature+ is a hands-on conference that connects rural and urban schools around one shared mission: building a nature-positive future. Learners, teachers and school leaders come together to explore real solutions for our communities, climate and biodiversity.

Educators are invited to join the organising team and help co-design and facilitate learning sessions. If selected as a confirmed facilitator, we’ll cover basic travel and activity-related expenses. An online orientation will be provided before the event. Limited slots available.

Who is the Nature+ Conference for?

Learners in primary and high school
Teachers who are passionate about environmental education, outdoor learning or whole-child education
School leaders (principals, deputies, heads of department) who want to embed nature-positive practices into the culture and strategy of their schools
Why your school should join

Learners and teachers experience practical nature-positive projects – from food gardens and waste solutions to biodiversity and water – ideas they can take back to school.

The conference grows confidence, leadership and teamwork. Young people get to share their stories, speak on stage, and collaborate with peers from very different backgrounds.

Educators explore new ways to integrate nature-positive learning into the curriculum, whole-school culture and community partnerships.

Nature+ connects rural schools and urban / peri-urban schools through shared sessions, stories and ongoing collaboration.

Participants step out of the classroom into real landscapes - fynbos, forests and open skies, where climate and biodiversity come alive.

A joyful, cross-cultural buzz of music, food, play and shared stories turns serious learning into a memorable celebration that learners and teachers carry home with them.
What happens at Nature+?

Learners share their lived experience of climate, water, food and community – and listen to others from very different contexts.

Small groups explore food gardens, water, biodiversity, waste, biomimicry, natural building and community action .

Parallel sessions for teachers and principals on how to embed nature-positive learning in your school.

Case studies and experiences that show nature-positive projects in action. Many of these will be seen live in action on a school premises.
